Marketing and Finance

The marketing and finance group is responsible for acquiring sufficient funds and components for the project. The group is also responsible for the marketing of GridVille, through the website, newsletters and social media accounts.

Hardware

Hardware makes sure the grid is properly dimensioned for use. This includes energy dimensioning, as well as cable and breaker dimensioning. In addition, the group selects components for the grid.

Control Systems

Control systems makes sure the grid is supplying a steady energy supply to the users of the grid. This means creating a control system that coordinates the grid’s production, consumption and storage using software solutions.

Monitoring

Monitoring designs the sensors and data processing for the grid. They make sure that the control system receives reliable data. Their work includes developing circuit boards and writing software to get the data to the cloud.

Production

Production designs and builds the physical systems for the microgrid. This includes mounting structures for PV panels, fire-safe electrical enclosures, grounding solutions, material procurement, and installation. The group ensures all components are safely and effectively implemented, and plays a crucial role in transforming plans into reality, from concept and design to installation and commissioning.
